Lara Croft, archaeologist and adventurer, is searching for a mysterious spear that was stolen from a British museum. She has veen told that in order to retrieve the spear she will have to travel to the underworld of The Maori. Here, along with her guide Akio, she discovers an old friend tought to be long dead. After a battle with spirits sent by Kagan to stop the trio, Lara ventures out alone to get a mysterious weapon of power. However, just as Lara takes possession of te weapon, an invisible sword, disaster strikes. Kagan returns with the Dream Spear, cutting of Lara's escape, and knocking Myles into a dark abyss in the process.
